Q: How far in advance should I book my service?

A: The sooner you book, the better the chances are to get appointment booked with me. And if it is for group makeup service, try to book at least a month early and we will need your information like how many clients in the group and time limit so we will know how many artists and assistants we will need to give you a quote.

Q: Do you only do Asian makeup?

As a Asian makeup artist, I am professional doing Asian makeup like Japanese style and Korean style of makeup. But I can do makeup for all ethnicities. I will still keep the makeup as clean and light weight as possible, but changing colors and styles base on different clients.

Q: How should I prep my skin before my appointment?

Focus on hydration: Keep your skin well-moisturized—especially considering the dry Las Vegas climate. Incorporating moisturizing masks in the days leading up to your wedding, particularly the night before, works wonders.
Morning routine: On the wedding morning, gently cleanse your face with a mild cleanser and warm water, then apply a lightweight moisturizer. (Note: While we typically suggest skipping SPF for morning prep to avoid photo flashback, just let me know if you prefer to wear sunscreen, and I will be happy to apply it for you. You are also welcome to bring your favorite sunscreen if you prefer!)
Professional prep: Don't worry, we will also provide thorough skin prep, moisturizing, and priming right before we begin your makeup.
Hair removal notice: Any facial waxing, threading, or tweezing should be done at least one week prior to your wedding day to prevent any unexpected breakouts or skin irritation.

Q: How long will it take for hair and makeup?

A: M Studio typically allocates 2.5 to 3 hours for a complete hair and makeup session. I strive to focus on every detail and perform thorough hydrating skin prep to ensure your look is as clean, polished, and detailed as possible. Because of this meticulous process, it may take a little extra time, and I truly appreciate your understanding.

If you have any specific concerns about your facial features or skin, please feel free to share them with me, and I will tailor the approach to find the most flattering and suitable look for you!

Q：What is your refund policy if I need to cancel my wedding or event?

Your booking secures a dedicated time slot in our schedule. Please note that all fees paid are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

If you must cancel your event for any reason, whether foreseen or unforeseen, written notification must be provided to Mstudio at least 30 days prior to the scheduled service date. Cancellations made with less than 30 days’ notice will result in the client being responsible for 100% of the remaining balance as outlined in this agreement. Any modifications to the terms of this contract are at the sole discretion of Mstudio.

In the rare event that Mstudio becomes ill or otherwise unable to provide services on your reserved date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. Alternatively, M Studio will do its absolute best to help find a qualified replacement stylist for your big day.

Q: Do you do trials? And When and where do trails take place?

A: It will be the best to do trials to make sure it is everything you want for your big day. Makeup is so personal, and each client's style and facial features is different. A trial will be a better time for us to get to know each other. The trial usually take place in my office and try to contract me for trial as soon as possible.

How should I prep my hair before my wedding day?

A: Proper hair prep is essential for ensuring your bridal hairstyle holds beautifully all day long:

Wash your hair the night before. Avoid using any silicone-based products (such as Pantene, Tresemme, or Sunsilk), as silicones coat the hair, making it too slippery to hold a style well.
Skip styling products. Do not apply any leave-in serums, smoothing creams, argan/moroccan oils, or similar products after washing. If your hair end very dry,
Blow-dry completely smooth. Make sure your hair is thoroughly dried and blown out as straight and smooth as possible before your appointment.

Q: What makeup brands do you use?

A: Mstudio use a wide range of products from top brands found at Sephora and high-end department stores, with a focus on favorites like Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown, Natasha Denona, and Lancôme. For brides, I also offer Temptu airbrush foundation, which is chosen based on your skin type and provides incredible, long-lasting wear. (Note: If you have sensitive skin or specific allergies, you are welcome to bring your own base makeup products for me to use, though please keep in mind that I cannot guarantee the same longevity with outside products.)

Q: What if I need to change my date?

A: Date Change Policy

If your event date needs to be changed for any reason, please contact M Studio as soon as possible to check availability for your new date.

Your original deposit can be applied toward a rebooking made within one year. However, please note that if the change is requested with less than 1 month's notice before your scheduled appointment date, M Studio reserves the right to decline transferring the original deposit to the new date.

All payments and retainer fees previously submitted for the original event date remain strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Q: What if I need to cancel due to COVID?

A: Postponement for COVID-19

If you test positive for COVID-19 and need to postpone your event or wedding, please notify us at your earliest convenience. Each situation is assessed individually. Postponements due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis will not incur any fees, and your deposit will be transferred to your new date.

Important Note:

Your appointment is a reservation of dedicated time, during which we decline other booking requests. Please keep this in mind should you need to cancel.

I found Mengsi as my hair and makeup stylist for my wedding and I am SOOO glad I did. Mengsi was absolutely amazing and gave me the look I was looking for. She also completed the makeup for my bridesmaids and everyone looked amazing with our makeup staying on for the entire night.
